- Stand (duration + exam)
- Down (duration + hand sign)
- Sit (duration + distraction)
- Retrieve
- Go outs
- Disc pivots (for heel)
- Chin rest (duration + distraction)
- Recalls
- Zen (hand, floor, food bowl, + sticky feet)
- Hand target
- Squish
In addition to competition foundations, we've also been working on life skills:
- Ear cleaning
- Foot hair/nail trims
- Clipper vibration
- Restraint
- Crate games (specifically, waiting to be released before leaving & new places)
- Loose leash walking
- Reorientation
- Oral exam/cleaning
- Mat work (duration, distraction, + new places)
- Stationing while another dog is working
- Moving to the side of the trail when others approach
So here's where we're going next:
- Heeling games
- Fronts
- Retrieve (objecting holding duration)
- Sit/Stand/Down with distance
- Recalls with distraction
- Zen with high value rewards + more movement
- Moving squish
- Building distance on go outs
- Scent articles
- Rear foot targeting
Okay, I think that's everything . . .
What is Squish? And sticky paws (under Zen)?

DeleteSquish is a holding pattern - be in this place while nothing happens and we wait in line, for example. Sticky feet is a stay proofing technique - in order to have this treat, you must not move your feet out of position even though you could almost have the treat if you moved just a hair . . .
ReplyDeleteGot it - thanks! Loving watching your progress, despite the throes of adolescence...:-)
